Solutions to Air Pollution

West coast High Way

West coast High Way

In such a drastically developing city as west coast of United Stated, the word “pollution” has become one we come across almost every day. In fact, we actually live in the face of several types of pollution, namely, of air, of noise and of water.

Air pollution ranks first among all the pollutions. Man must breathe to live but polluted air is very detrimental to human health. A human body needs fresh supply of oxygen from the air so that all its parts may function well.

On the other hand, polluted air that contains smells and gases is harmful to a human body and makes it susceptible to such diseases as bronhitis, tuberculosis, etc.

How does air pollution come about? It comes out of modern technical progress. The factories which are emmerging one after another are lettiing outu harmful smoke and smells through their chimneys. Moreover, they city which abounds with motor cars inevitably confronts the problem of the exhausted gas from using diesel. The rubbish which is piled up mountain high also gives out a sickening smell.

To protect our living environment, the government, public and private organizations and all the citizens should handle this problem in good earnest.

The government must take and has already taken the lead. The establishment of the Environmental Protection Agency and the amount of legistration which has already gone through or is in the pipeline have more or less solved the problem. The smoke from the factories has turned white. The use of pile-drivers has been effectively restricted.

However, there is still a long way to go in for the solution of this problem. We must make persistent efforts to further solve it.

San Francisco Federal Building

San Francisco Federal Building

This photo was taken by Sally.

The San Francisco Federal Building is a building designed by the architectural firm Morphosis. It is located at 90 7th Street on the corner of Mission and 7th Streets in South of Market, San Francisco.

I’ve heard that Thom Mayne tried to and successfully employed a very symbolic concept “Resistance” at the very first beginning. More importantly, by using a large amount of glass on the building, the artist successfully bought the sunlight to light up the interiors. Hence, a very environmentally friendly architectural masterpiece was born and continue to inspire the later generations to come.

History of the Federal Reserve

A very meaningful but yet controversal video about federal reserve as a conspiracy. It pointed out the idea that if all private banks have the power to control the country’s currency…the outcome would be catastrophic.
